Re: Adding a new Trig

It's not very likely that a genuine OSGB36 station has been discovered tbh. If you can supply details here we'll look into it. Grid ref & photos much encouraged.

Re: Portland Bill Trigpoint?

Definitely not a standard OS pillar. Most likely built & used by the MoD themselves.

Re: Deleting a log

Hi Norman,

if you have logged the station, your log(s) will appear at the top of the list like so:

If you click on this box it will take you through to another screen which allows you to edit or delete your log.

Thanks. When we get a grid ref for the new position I'll update the record.

Re: TP3843 - Hill, named incorrectly

Thanks, but names on T:UK are taken from the OSGB36 archive. Many of these names vary from what might be expected from OS mapping (Schichallion is the famous example), but we stick to the principle anyway, not least because the names on OS maps are no more nor less reliable than those in the OSGB36 ...

Re: How to log a new trig point

If by 'new trig' you mean one you have visited for the 1st time, then the explanation above should help.

If on the other hand you mean a newly discovered trig not already listed, then add the details here & I'll look into it.

Re: New Website Bugs

Counties are a messy business, not least because the situation developed differently in Scotland. For me personally, the only meaningful options are either the current set of (1997) council areas, or the tidied-up set of historical counties (1889-1975). But it's not a hill I'd die on, and you'll ...

Re: New Website Bugs

Found the new trig function; all seems well except the onscreen TP number is given as 10000 for both new stations I added (TP26011 & TP26012).

Similar to the recent issue with OSGB grid squares; appearing wrong but working in practice.
