Happened to see a notice for the Festival of Archaeology 2014 which runs from 12-27 July;

I had a quick trawl through to see if it listed any events which might ease access to 'difficult'
trig sites. Nothing obvious though.
Perhaps archaeologists would be able to offer us professional tips on locating so-called Surface Blocks
