Good morning
One is M3FEH from SX45 Kernow South East Cornwall
Now main reason for joining this group is because as of from today Us WAB fans are collecting trig points
Worked this first one this morning but can not find in data base
SU 373616
Latitude: 51 21 8 N, Longitude: 1 27 54 W
Walbury Hill
As you may find a lot of trig points are connected with Sota activation,s to which one is well in too
First one worked this morning from G/SE-001
Just can not find the trig number
Any help would be rather grateful
Many thanks again
Karl M3FEH

Greetings,
Worked this first one this morning but can not find in data base
SU 373616
Latitude: 51 21 8 N, Longitude: 1 27 54 W
Walbury Hill
The Ordnance Survey use the name
Inkpen for this trig pillar.
They give the coordinates as 437345.97,161624.79 with a height of 297.109
It has a Flush Bracket number of 11798, replacing an earlier pillar which was S1510.
You can find more details in the Trig Pointing:UK records at
http://trigpointing.uk/trig/302
Hope that helps
Regards
Ted

Hi,
Have encountered a few Summits on the Air enthusiasts on hill tops over the years.
I can recall one encounter on Great Whernside above Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales.
Seem to remember a claim that they had contact with York Minster! Suspect thats a
bit further than an Ordnance Survey sightline.

Ted

I see you're from Kernow too.
