My grandson sent me a photo of a triangulation pillar he'd seen at Portland Bill (attached) - about 400m north of the lighthouse - I can't see this listed on the website - is it a Ordnance Survey pillar or some kind of memorial. ( He's a surveyor and was doing some kind of survey for the MOD). Thanks Brian.

Definitely not a standard OS pillar. Most likely built & used by the MoD themselves.
