Was there ever a short-lived OS trig pillar near to the Lostock / Stretford / Urmston border near to the present day Lincoln Avenue (was Lincoln Road) in Stretford, Greater Manchester?
See towards the top right corner of the below late 1930's OS map extract.
If it wasn't a trig pillar, then what was it?

No trace of any OSGB36 station in the immediate vicinity. Given the date, it's probably an 'Old Trig' i.e. a station from the Principal Triangulation in the early 1800s; probably just a stone with a cut mark or similar.

Thanks. Appears also on an earlier late Victorian OS map of the area, immediately adjacent to a field boundary.
Probably been built over for over 80 years now, so there'll be no trace whatsoever of whatever was once there.
