Garmin watch problems by Trig Pillars

Post by StuartandSonia2021 »

Has anyone had any issues with Garmin watches at or near Trig pillars ??
When out on 3 seperate walks, my girlfriend's garmin watch has thrown a bit of a wobble when we get to a Trig pillar, its stopped recording the walk and tried to send a message out to her emergency contact, then fails to record the remainder of the walk ??
Just wondered if anyone else has come across this issue before or is aware of why this might happen ??

No idea, sorry. It seems like a weird coincidence, but there is nothing remotely digital in the pillars themselves which could cause such a reaction.

That’s exactly what we thought, wasn’t sure if it might be the watch reacting to the GPS location in some way, but bizarrely it hasn’t done it since and we’ve been near a few Trigs since then, thank you though
