Concrete Rings

Post by ted »

Very interested to see that The Berries have identified another Concrete Ring
http://trigpointing.uk/trig/23701

So much for my belief that these only occur in the Northern Pennines or Lake District :?

This latest find is also consistent with Ian Wilson telling us that concrete rings were used
as emplacement markers (presumably in conjunction with a metal detector).

A list of the other concerete rings can be found here: http://trigpointing.uk/trigs/view-trigs.php?q=1848817
How many more, and where, I wonder :)

How fascinating! I've changed the trig type to Concrete Ring.

Searching TPUK for BB's with condition Good, also identified this one found by Dusty http://trigpointing.uk/trig/20383 - again changed to CR.

The search map you linked, now shows a rather odd distribution pattern.

Berries have also found another BB but apparently no ring http://trigpointing.uk/trig/23705
