Gravity Station

Post by Sandbach trig finders »

Prees
North Rode
Hatton Heath
Cat & Fiddle

The gravity Stations in bars are Prees and Hatton Heath
The rest are North Rode, found in a village *near Macclesfield, and so is Cat and Fiddle.

* Cat and Fiddle is next to a pub, a flush Bracket on the wall

They are found in Cheshire area( all 4 are in Cheshire!).
They look like Fundamental Benchmarks ( FBM) but there is no underground chamber* )

FBM's vs Gravity Stations, what's the difference?
Fundamental Benchmarks , like Macclesfield, has a 2 meter deep chamber* that Gravity Stations don't have.
You know how there is a flush bracket like thing that says Ordenace Suvey Benchmark ( not visible at the Macclesfield trig) and a height tag. On Gravity Stations the metal writing is replaced by a Flush Bracket ( 11171- 11174) and a flat top) not a Cat and Fiddle because it's a Slightly Damaged condition

The North Rode is looking like a pillar, but in the Damaged or Remains condition . Cat and Fiddle lookes like a rock, edges Slightly Chirped, Flush Bracket buried .
Hatton Heath & Prees are covered on railings
