Rockbeare Hill trig point S5507

Post by burt68 »

Lovely condition but a bit tricky to find, although it is next to a quarry the trig is set in its own little green leafy world, with signs that a squirrel uses it as his table for eating fir cone seeds .

Any recommendations on how best to approach this one please? A number of logs mention a high fence and ending up on the wrong side of it, so keen to avoid that. Thanks in advance

We did this last week, from the car park there are various paths heading in the general direction, you can't avoid leaving the path once close to the pillar and it is not easy but we have been in far worse places, we came out into a big clearing near the Quarry, from there the pillar is just in some trees to the left, look for the big armchair, another struggle but not to bad.
