The app is publicly hosted on Github - https://github.com/TrigpointingUK/trigpointinguk
I'm not sure what license Ian has on the app, but I'm sure forking it and updating/rebuilding it to modern Android app standards is feasible and something a relatively capable Android app developer could do.

Re: Interactive map
I'd be willing to chip in. Obviously haven't used it very much at all this year, but the app has been an invaluable resource for me in the past.

Re: android app
Sorry for the delay limur - you need to go into the Android settings and change the system navigation style to 'three-button' (or similarly named). Not ideal but the app hasn't been updated in years so is not totally compatible with latest phones.

Re: Trigpointing objectives for the forthcoming year?
After logging a grand total of 0 trigs of any description last year, I really get to get my finger out this year and get cracking with the NS trigs. I did end up going to 71 games of football though, so made some good progress towards my goal of visiting the stadiums of all 98 Scottish FA members.

Re: Ever met anyone?
Yep, met CJO randomly at Hill Field (http://trigpointing.uk/trig/3855) in 2015. Couple of close calls, where myself at least one other were trigging in the same area on the same day, and met up with folk a few times (thejackrustles' 100th near Muir of Ord, and the trigger's meet in Comrie when Rob ...

Re: MOBILE PHONE APP
Sorry for the late reply - according to Ian (the app developer), Google have pulled it from the Play Store because they've decided it doesn't comply with certain requirements.
Ian has uploaded a working copy of the .apk (the Android application file) to Github, and it's available from the below link ...

Re: Android app
Per Ian's comments on the Facebook group the other day:
This is getting frustrating! Google banned the app for allegedly uploading users' installed package information without a prominent disclosure. Problem is that, no, it doesn't do that! Somewhat ironic that a company which has made $BNs from ...
